English 1010 is described in the course catalog as "Development of critical literacy: reading, writing and thinking using methods of knowledge-making. Promotes awareness of rhetorical strategies as they apply to a variety of socio-cultural contexts." 
In English 1010, Introduction to Writing, we explored and improved our writing skills through different assignments and assessments including a narrative, visual analysis, rhetorical analysis, the research process, an annotated bibliography, and exploration writing. My final issue exploration, as well as a rhetorical rationale can be found below.
